GET SOME SLEEP!

With so much happening in our world, it can make it difficult to relax and fall asleep. This can be more than just an annoyance; it can hurt your mental health! Adults should generally get about 8 whole hours of sleep per night.

When you sleep, your brain is able to:

  • remove waste
  • recharge
  • sharpen your memory and learning capabilities

If you are not sleeping enough, you could weaken your immune system, slow down your thinking, and gain weight. Sleep is one of the most important things you can do for your mental and physical health.

Activity:

Think about how you feel when you do not get enough sleep.
Track how many hours of sleep you are getting each night for one week.
How do you feel after consistently getting enough sleep? Energized? Happier? Less sluggish?
Are there things you can adjust with your bedtime routine to help you get a good night’s rest?
